Singapore preparation and coating contractor since 1993, part of the Monti Group since 2025
Flakecoat Technology Pte Ltd has prepared, coated and reinstated industrial assets from Tuas since 1993: refineries, shipyards, power stations and water plants. In 2025 we joined the Monti Group and became its official company for Singapore and Southeast Asia, supplying MontiPower® tools and consumables from local stock alongside our own preparation, coating and refurbishment crews.

Company history
Flakecoat Technology Pte Ltd began in 1993 in Singapore under founder Derek Rodrigues, working in corrosion protection, polymer technology and surface preparation.
Over more than 30 years the company has worked for refineries, shipyards, utilities, equipment manufacturers and engineering contractors in Singapore and the wider region.
In February 2025, Flakecoat became part of the Monti Group through a strategic partnership and majority acquisition. This gave Flakecoat access to the group’s tools, training and network, combining our application experience with MontiPower® surface preparation technology.

“At Flakecoat, part of the Monti Group, our mission is to continually enhance the quality, consistency, and competitiveness of our blasting and coating services.”
In practice that means one company responsible for preparation and coating, so there is no disagreement over the quality of either, and documentation the inspector can sign off.
We work to a quality and health and safety management system certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, and hold bizSAFE Star.
