Bristle Blaster® performance

Advantages and performance of the Bristle Blaster® technology compared to traditional grit blasting.

Cleanliness grade

Removal of corrosion, mill scale and defunct protective coatings with a surface cleanliness similar to Sa 2.5 to Sa 3. Restores surface to DIN EN ISO 8501-1.

Anchor profile

Roughness capability from 40–120 µm Rz (1.57–4.72 mils). Effective in areas where blasting is not permitted. Applies for non-ferrous metals as well.

Improved integrity

Generates compressive residual stress providing crack growth resistance and improved fatigue life. Extended corrosion resistance.

Thermal safety

Negligible heat generation. Surfaces are free of thermal damage and heat marking.

Eco friendly

Green surface preparation. Does not use or produce hazardous materials. Low energy requirements.

MBX® performance factors

The air cushion principle

Flexible belts are inserted loosely into a cage-like adaptor system. Centrifugal force causes the belt to work as if suspended on an air cushion, absorbing vibration instantly.

MBX® belt technology

U-shaped bristles anchored in polyamide fabric. Each bristle strikes the surface twice per rotation with high kinetic energy and low vibration.

High safety level

U-shaped anchored bristles prevent wire discharge during high-speed rotation.

Zero removal of healthy material

Restores surface without grinding, deformation, or toxic fume development.

Exceptional hardness (68 HRC)

Heat-treated tips strike individually and are harder than the wire of standard brushes.

High flexibility

Adaptability for contoured areas, sharp edges, and intricate industrial geometries.
