Energy efficiency & monitoring
Pump and blower efficiency and flow-rate monitoring using the thermodynamic method.
Based in Western Australia
Serving the world
Robertson Technology markets its products and services internationally, with a focus on energy efficiency and associated environmental benefits. To date, products and services have been provided to 15 countries.
There is a worldwide requirement for accurate monitoring of pump and blower efficiency and flow rate to keep them in optimum condition, thereby reducing energy and maintenance costs, improving plant reliability, and alleviating greenhouse gas emissions.
How it works
The thermodynamic method
Energy lost in a pump ends up as heat. Measuring it gives efficiency and flow rate without a conventional flow meter.
Configurations
System configurations
Portable units are used for investigative work and regular monitoring. Fixed installations provide on-line predictive monitoring for critical pumps and interface with station optimization software to achieve the lowest electricity costs.
- Portable units — investigative work and regular monitoring for water utilities, mines and power stations
- Fixed installations — on-line predictive monitoring for critical and high-power pumps, interfacing with station optimization software
Testing capabilities
Environmental impact
Pump and blower test services are offered for a variety of industrial fluids. Keeping machinery near its best efficiency lowers energy use and emissions over the life of the plant.
